Tire Rotation & Balancing

Front and rear tires wear at different rates, and on a front-wheel-drive car the fronts go first by a wide margin. Rotating them on schedule is the cheapest way to get the mileage you paid for.

What the job involves

  1. 1Rotate the set in the pattern your vehicle and tires call for. Directional tires and staggered fitments each have their own.
  2. 2Balance each wheel on the machine and correct any that have drifted.
  3. 3Check pressures and reset them to the door-jamb placard.
  4. 4Take a look at the brakes while the wheels are off, at no extra charge.

When you need it

If any of these sound like your car, bring it in and we will look at it.

  • Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles for most vehicles
  • A vibration through the steering wheel at highway speed, usually a balance problem
  • A vibration you feel through the seat rather than the wheel, usually the rear wheels
  • Visibly more wear on the front tires than the rear
