A/C Service & Recharge

A Sacramento summer is a bad time to find out the A/C only blows warm. We find out why before we add anything, because a system that is low on refrigerant is a system with a leak.

What the job involves

  1. 1Check the vent temperature, the compressor, the cooling fans and the belt.
  2. 2Evacuate the system and hold it under vacuum to show whether it is leaking.
  3. 3Find the leak where there is one, and tell you what it will take to fix before we do it.
  4. 4Recharge with the refrigerant your car uses, R-134a or R-1234yf, to the weight on the label under the hood.

When you need it

If any of these sound like your car, bring it in and we will look at it.

  • The air blows warm, or only cold when you are moving
  • It takes a long time to cool the cabin down
  • A musty smell from the vents, or water on the passenger floor
  • A rattle or squeal when the A/C switches on
